. Corporate chains moved onto Haight Street during the 1990s also eager to capitalize on its past history. Clothing chain The Gap operated a store on the corner of Haight-Ashbury until it was recently closed. Around that same period, the Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Chain opened a store at that location.

Matt, I'm going to have to ask you to tie that post to the topic somehow. Otherwise, it's just spam, and not allowed.

sort of a catch 22 having to state board policy in the thread isn't it?

of course, Prop 22 was struck down by the state board
because the Act was an ordinary statute, it could be struck down if it were inconsistent with the state constitution.

"A San Francisco trial court threw out all of the gender requirements on state constitutional grounds."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California ... %282000%29" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

seems the CA constitution is in a catch 22
since prop 8 creates a gap in the constitution with the protection from gender discrimination.
In this case, not allowing people to marry because of gender

anyway
Ben and Jerry's is a fine place for an ice cream social.

Though you bring up an interesting constitutional gap, it seems as if the judicial branch of our government has settled both props the same way. Neither is constitutional, and neither remains the law of the land today. California puts WAY too many initiatives on its ballots and this is a perfect example of what happens when they do so.

Now we really should get back on topic, but I must add that I like Ben & Jerry's too! I went there with Amerah last weekend!!!!
