So Joe got me a ticket! Woo! I'll definitely be seeing you all there!!! Not sure exactly where, so umm... Paging Dr. BS.... (hehe)
Verizon's in Irvine. DUH! :-P But, yes, OCPA is like a smaller version of Verizon. Verizon is HUGE- to be completely honest, Al would never fill that place. I went to a Blink 182 concert there (lawn section- par-tay!!)... there were gazillions of people. PA doesn't open its lawn section anymore.
And, yes, there ARE bad seats... the edges in the regular seating areas (not circle/pit) will make it hard to see 2/4 band members because of the stage legs (curtains).

Firstly,

.
Next, all right. Point taken.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's not the worst one can do especially when paying so little (at least compared to other venues). The fact that the venue is a lot better than it previously was for Al at the OC Fair but for the prices to remain essentially unfazed is pretty cool.

Yeah these Circle tickets are way cheaper that I would have paid. $23 each or something like that.

They're usually more in the $25 range from what I saw last year. I think it's both the economy and because Al is not quite as "huge" as, say, Daughtry. Those tickets were pricey!

Yeah but the last few times I saw Al, the tickets were in the 30-40 range, and this includes admission to the fair.

Tony & I are in seats CC42 & CC43!

What she said. Nine rows back, left of center, but only about a third of the way to the edge. Not bad at all, I must say.
Just for n'avis and giggles, I clicked the links from weirdal.com as though I was GONNA buy a VIP ticket, then closed the window before I actually did. It gave me an AA seat. I imagine the first eight rows (AAA-FFF, plus AA and BB) are reserved for VIPs.
Pit EEE-1 and EEE-2
Did you get VIP tickets, Vikki? Otherwise I might have to go back to the laboratory to revise my thesis, and I don't wanna because there's still a monkey loose in there.

Also, a little nice feature of ArtistArena is the fact that you can choose which seats you get from what are available. After you quickpick your first tickets, you can click on buy more to get to that. Then, go back and cancel out your quick pick tickets.
Not sure if everyone knew that little quip.

Where's that big "I hate Artists Arena" topic?

Once again, Artists Arena screwed me over. There weren't any seats next to each other in the cheap presale. So my only choices to sit next to my wife, were the VIP package seats which were like $100 each after you tacked on all annoyance fees, or order through Ticketmaster, which best I could find was row M or P. Out of my extreme dislike for Artists Arena, if this was a more local concert, I would have went with Ticketmaster for the sole purpose that Artists Arena wouldn't get the sale, but if I'm gonna fly across the country, I want a reasonably close seat.
Really though, I'm thrilled to see Al touring again, and I'm equally looking forward to seeing my West Coast peeps again!!!

It's official (though it might have been official earlier...sorry, I get out of school late

): The regular presale tickets at weirdal.com are all sold out! All that's left there is VIP seating. My goodness, that was quick! (That's what she said?)

For anyone who isn't following me on Twitter or Facebook, I want to officially say that I have my ticket for the concert.
Now we'll see how I'll get there. XD
