...what? why?

I dunno...just a pesky little thing called a hunch. Could be wrong.

I'm going with the "Fingertips" theory and you aren't. End of the day, it's probably going to be something that neither of us had thought of, so I'm not going to overthink it.

Heck, maybe it IS about Dr. Who.

If it is fragmented like Fingertips, I will BE HAPPY.

Now...
Please pass the milk, please. :P

Just think - with something like Fingertips, it would allow us to make an actual ringtones out of each of the little sections! :whoot: And maybe this would even be our really long song for this album.

I wouldnt be surprised if it were a tmbg style parody, I just dont think it sounds like it.
Ok I know the one song is EYKIW, what's the half?

GiF may sound like TMBG, but you have to remember that TMBG sounds like Zappa in much of their work. Especially Fingertips if listened to straight through.

You may remember the comparisons drawn from "I remember Larry" with tmbg's "see the constellation". If not, check it out.

Maybe Im bitter having seen tmbg 16, going on 17 times, only to have heard them play that goddamn fingertips at almost every single show.

At any rate, since Al is in the business of constructing social commentary via comedic music, it would strike me odd that he would do what would essentialy be a fingertips parody. Fingertips is barely a song, and I imagine it would be a difficult sell to a mainstream audience.

I like the "Fingertips" theory. It would be really cool to have short snippets of a bunch of different styles of music, and I could see that being a really good and creative song.

I would like to see a fingertips type song. I have only played one album on shuffle, I think al would do a good job with that.

And I missed the IRL coonection I'll have to check it out

I don't think it's going to be a Fingertips style song for two reasons:

1) JNN's source would have told me it was several different bits chopped together.
2) Bermuda said at AlFest that someone on WOWAY had guessed it already.

It also slightly resembles Barenaked Ladies.  Al hasn't done them in a style parody yet, despite being a fan and friends with the band.  But that's probably not what this is.

um, yeah he has... remember Jerry Springer in 1999?
