"Should Have Stayed a Jedi"
A Weird Al Yankovic-style STAR WARS parody song by Nerd42.
To the tune of "Should Have Been a Cowboy" by Toby Keith.
Written sometime way back when episode III was coming out.

(Verse 1:)
I wish I'd never heard that old Senator say,
"Hey Anakin, you ever think of running away?
And joinin' the Dark Side? Sign up today!
We might even find a way to save Padme."
I regret I said yes in a Coresant minute.
I didn't have a choice, cause my girlfriend was in it.
So I did what he said, starting right away.
Now I'm the terror of outer space.

(Chorus:)
I should have stayed a Jedi.
I should never have joined the Dark Side.
I'd be waving my lightsabre, using the Force to jump real high.
Instead I stole Padme's heart way back when I was just a boy.
Now I've got third degree burns.
Oh, I should've stayed a Jedi.

(Verse 2:)
So now I'm a sidekick with a funny name,
Darth Vader's what they call me and it sounds really lame.
Oh, and by the way I had to kill all my friends,
That was it for the Jedi and their story ends.
"Luke, I'm your dad!"
That's what he was told.
My new master zapped that bald guy now he looks really old.
And all the Jedi went to space heaven,
And that's it, unless Lucas makes a STAR WARS 7.

(Repeat Chorus a couple times um yeah)

Al never wrote a song for episode 3, so I thought I'd fix that. ;)

May the force be cancelled and replaced with a new and better installment of the series that totally PWNs george lucas, I am referring of course, to Star TrekLIVE LONG AND PROSPER

Thanks, Jon.

Also, Nerd42, blatant parodies go in this thread.

I wrote a song when I was eight called "I Am Bob." I'd post the lyrics if I hadn't made enough posts for today already and am bored. It was a big hit in my school talent show.

No, it's not. I don't really know why I chose the name "Bob." I guess it just sounded catchy.

This is an original song called "Disembodied Body Boy." It was written when I was 15 and recorded when I was 16... long long ago. It got some Dr. Demento airplay... when I was 18. :) Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mkDm8m-pBw" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Wow, you got on Dr. Demento? That's amazing! And not just because of the song, either. ;)

That was long ago :) And I am always happy when my songs can bring happiness and change people's facial expressions! Thank you, JCM!
