I just listened to the interview, and all I have to say is wow. I mean, the guy even said it so calmly, almost without thought as to what exactly he was saying or how his very rude, obnoxoious comment would affect the man he was talking to. And if it wasn't enough to crush a man once, they had to bring it up again at the end. I'm not sure what was worse, this or the Farenheit interview, but at least the kids from Farenheit kept their idiotic comments (well, at least most of them) to themselves and didn't say them to or in front of Al. I now see why Al doesn't want to do any more interviews for a while after that experience. Poor Al.
By the way, just out of curiosity, right after their first talk about his parents and they were "moving on", was that Al kind of choking back tears in the background. You would think if they heard that, they would have said something like, i dont know, "sorry" perhaps, or at least laid off the subject, which they didn't. It did sound like that's what he was doing, but it didn't make sense because when Al would talk, his voice sounded normal, not out of breath or gasping like he was crying. I really don't want this to sound as rude or obnoxious as that interview was, but if someone knows the answer, it would be great to know.
Al, I am so sorry that you had to deal with that kind of rude, unprofessional behavior that day. I understand that you probably will not do many more interviews now because of that, and I will respect that. I just hope that you feel better now, even though I know the things you have lost can never be replaced.

Does anyone have the links to the interview(s)
(I got confused reading through)
Is it just the Maine one or is there a Maine interview and then some bad ones from elsewhere?

Aron-- Only the second accordionist to ever sit in the trunk of Torsoboy's DeLorean. Al was the first.
