Yeah, I listened to mine today. I thought it was a nice interview until the question was asked. Al dealt with it all right, but what more got me mad was the after interview comments. One of them felt bad, but they kept saying that Al should've expected that question. That got me mad. Grrrr.

Exactly- Sounds like they were making excuses to make themselves feel better and justify what they did.celebros27 @ Jul 6 2004, 04:58 PM wrote: they shouldn't have defended themselves. if they felt confident about anything they did, they wouldn't have had to defend themselves.

Thanks for posting that, Driew. Poor Al! You could tell how sad that question made him, and yet they just kept on pressing him for answers. And afterwards, they seemed to think the way he responded was funny. I just kept hearing giggling in the background. It was a good interview up until that point, but it made me feel so bad that Al had to answer those questions.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

Thank you for posting that Driew.
Now that my blood pressure is about to pop my head off....
I can't even comment on this. Those interviewers totally sucked and they didn't have to ask Al that, as they put it. And then they were joking about it afterwards!!!!

It shows the dark side of our media-driven, youth-worshipping culture (with apologies to the youth on this board :lookround: ) that the idea that you'd mourn your parents less because they were old could even take hold.
Youth... and romance. Ow! I remember very clearly where the newspaper reports said Mary Yankovic was found. That is not romantic.

"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

Thanks for posting the interview, Driew.
I agree with just about everyone who has commented that the interviewer's question, as well as the three minute defense of the question at the end, was crass and wrong. Nearly half the sound clip contained nothing but empty rationalization, discussed between the two equally as empty headed bafoons.
Up until that question, I thought it was a fairly decent interview.
