Yeah, it just sounds like a manhole cover being moved. Granted it's not the best sound effect they could have used, but it fit.

Anyway, I think Eat It is a great song, and it deserved to be the song that made Al a big name. I remember seeing the video on AL TV and was blown away. Driven enabled me to enjoy the video even more.

I wonder what Al and band used to make that electric ding ding ding dooooong sound at the beginning of Eat It. I'm curious.

I don't think that's a chime. It's almost gong-like. But it's probably not a gong, either. Hmm, good question for Ask Al.
