Wow, I had to leave and missed it--what exactly did they say? Wait a minute...no April fooling?

I'm not sure. I'd wait and ask that question tomorrow.

No April fools from them. They gave a nice plug saying that the fund is trying to raise 15,000 to get Al a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and that they should check weirdalstar.com for more details.

Just to show how this works when we all work together [insert cheesy inspirational music here]: somebody (deep apologies, I've forgotten who) posted here on WOWAY that Retro 93.9 was sponsoring an Eat It contest. I went surfing, found the station's contact information, sent it on to Vikki, she e-mailed the press-release to the DJ's (because time was too short for snail-mail), and lo, and behold, the Star Fund gets mentioned!
The moral of the story, children [insert cheesier and more inspirational music here] is that, if you hear of a radio station that's sponsoring or in any way helping to promote a concert, PM me. Who knows, they might be interested in giving the Star Fund a shout-out.
