Sure there are good parody artists out there, but the people who wrote the songs that weren't by Al on that CD aren't good. Those songs are pure trash, and Patti was right to badmouth them. Plus, all she said was that you could tell those songs weren't Al's just by listening to them. It's the truth. Al writes very high quality parodies, and those are not high quality parodies.ccsyaoran @ Jul 4 2004, 02:59 PM wrote: dont bad mouth the ACTUALL SONGS!!

Eh, I like Barney's on Fire...(which isn't a parody by the way.)
But yeah, all the others are trash.
But luckally, a lot of the people that I know now can tell the difference between an Al song and a not-Al song.

It's not a parody, I've heard a lot of songs by the guy that did it--he doesn't do parodies.
"Barney's on Fire" was done by a guy named Tony Mason. Oddly enough, he has all of his songs available for download on his website. Although his songs are VERY weird (I Need to be on Mars is the weirdest one on there), I have to admit he's pretty talented. He does all of his songs using one keyboard. He plays each individual instrument and then mixes them together, then sings over the instrumental. Some of his stuff (some...not all) is pretty good. And he even did a pretty decent cover of "Sime Creatures from Outer Space", which appears on the Prostetic Lips tribute CD.
Actually, Tony Mason has ONE parody, "Nine Inch Claws", a parody of "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails. But that's the ONLY parody he has ever done.

I think those are a little.... risque for WOWAY, ccs.
Dr. Demento broadcasts weird stuff. Some of it might not be funny. Get over it.
In fact, I've heard "Weenie in a Bottle" on the Live 365 Dementia radio station. It was NOT billed as an Al song.
