Nick has quite a few shows that say crap in them. I thought they'd edit "watch lions eat Christians", but I guess they didn't.
I never would've guessed that there was anything hiding behind Steve's guitar.
I guess Al's too sophisticated to take part in a food fight.
Nice backstory of Al they gave.

Ugh, Nickelodeon, ten years behind everyone in comedy. I guess they're still trying to use the stuff that used to work... WHEN I WAS FIVE!
I found it slightly degrading what they did to Al. First, they put him on a stage that, if any smaller, would've caused him to fall over. Then they cut a verse out of CP, censor "gay" (but kept "watch lions eat Christians."), and make the "audience" look juvinille and goofy to an extent that is not funny. But that's Nick's formula, ain't it?
All in all, I watched it only to see Al, and while he did put on a great performance, it felt like they dragged his live performance skills through the mud. They tried to parody different songs. While they are imaginative, they fall victim to being juvinille... the "NOW Music" gag was cute, while the "Punk'd" (sp?) parody was awful.
Will Nickelodeon ever become somewhat more mature with its comical material??
Didn't see the bio (was flipping through channels until Al appeared), but it looked nice, and it was great how they used the AL-TV polka theme when they did bios (and stuff like that...).
