And here are the new numbers (According to Hits, Billboard's not out yet):
Al takes the usual second week (On the charts) slide, looks like he'll hit the mid 30s with 29,000 + sold. Don't panic people! That happens to a lot of artists! And that's still very good, too! At this rate, next week, he'll be 1/5th his way to Gold!

Can you provide a link for the URL for "Hits"?

Here you go:
http://www.hitsdailydouble.com
You'll have to sign in (free). I clicked on "sales" on the top index to get the numbers.
Although Billboard's the authority on sales, this looks pretty accurate. They did pretty good with the first week numbers.

Thanks again!
(I think I'll wait until I get home to sign in. Probably wouldn't be prudent
to do this from my work system.)

This would be the time when a video would have helped tremendously.
Oh well. Things will no doubt pick up again later this month when a certain special airs and a certain tour kicks off.

I propose TGITG: The Guys In The Group?!
Well, nothing wrong with calling them "guys," but when I see TGITG I keep wanting to pronounce it, and I feel like I've got something caught in my throat. :nervous:
btw I used to call all women over 18 "women", but I had a lot of them tell me that made them sound too old!! Any tips on what I should use? I agree "girls" isn't good, so now I usually use "guys" for a group of men or women, and if I have to refer to one woman, I just try to guess which one she would prefer based on her personality, age, etc.[/quote]
Part of it is contextual: if the context is informal and social, and you know the females in question, and they're near your age, "girls" is probably OK. If the context is work or education (or any other area of life where being taken seriously matters, and where women have not always been able to count on being taken seriously) use "women." There's my 27 cents' worth.

By calling them TBITB, I mean no disrespect at all to their status as grown up men or their skills as musicians. I respect and admire all of the boys, not just Al. They are awesome musicians. If it's a little bit too informal and chummy, it's because as performers they allow their fans a little bit more access than your average mega-superstars. For me it's something I call them out of genuine affection. I never considered that it might be taken as belittling. :dontgetit:

Of course that doesn't address the chronological inappropriateness of calling them "boys" when they are in fact all growed up and masters of their craft, but turnabout is fair play.
Let's let them call us girls if they want to.
