I don't think songs recorded for TV shows would be too great because unless you have a proper studio recording of it, you'll get the bits and pieces of dialogue and sound effects from the show which I've never liked as part of an actual song.

I think it's safe to say that, considering the entire catalog is being remastered for this box set, IF he wanted to pull songs from TV shows etc that he would go back to the production companies of each respective show to get the master recording of those songs.
