If you're asking about the conversation we had here in October, tags are the way posts are organized on tumblr (don't ask what tumblr is, I have no idea how to explain it). When you post something there, you add a tag, like "weird al" or "weird al yankovic", then people browsing that tag can see that post. When it comes to Al, most of the crappy, misguided and ignorant comments are tagged "weird al", whereas posts on "weird al yankovic" are almost always respectful and positive.yank wrote:....And WHAT is a Weird Al tag??
This is the first time I hear of this person and quick search shows he's politician... In what context was this comment made?tomatochives wrote:While generally not ignorant or misguided, this comment is particularly amusing...
"I didn't know Rand Paul played banjo for Weird Al."
I haven't seen anyone saying THAT about AlKatrinatheGood wrote:hoe

I've seen a bunch of these, too. The talent thing is obvious nonsense (I mean, it's really hard to replicate so many different musical styles!), but if it's any consolation, people have thought that parodists are leaches for centuries...KatrinatheGood wrote:I find that any comment about how untalented Al is or that he leaches off other artist successs. That seems the most abundant of the ignorant internet comments about Al.
