This thread seems to have devolved into endless postings of "They said Al's name wrong! Let's rip out their throat!" instead of theorising why we find it so annoying. We all know it's wrong, and if you chuck a spaz about it, you're not exactly doing yourself or Al's fan base any favours. "Man, I said 'Yankovic' wrong one time and this psycho Weird Al fan wet crazy at me!" won't attract any people to Al's music, now, will it?

Anyone else notice that?

I guess the reason I find it so annoying because,I mean, why is it so hard to say Yankovic? My aunt use to say Yonkavickacheizzy. But after a few times, I think she has gotten use to Yankovic.
