So that's not to say that sales have necessarily plummeted. It just means that unless there's another major surge of sales (such as the jump just after Christmas), the song's progress will no longer be tracked on the chart.

And yes, W&N is Al's longest charting single. "Amish" comes in second with sixteen weeks.
The Billboard 200 has a rule like that. If an album has been on the chart for 2 years (104 weeks) and is below Number 100 on the chart, then it will be moved to the Top Pop Catalog chart. If the album is still in the Top 100, then it will remain there until it dips below Number 100. The most recent example of this was Guns N' Roses - Greatest Hits which lasted 138 weeks if I recall correctly. The current longest-runner on the Billboard 200 is Jack Johnson - In Between Dreams with 101 weeks. Since he's well below Number 100, he'll be off the chart in a few week's time.

That's about 4,600 CD's that were sold this week.

This alnum will probably last about another 3-5 weeks left on the Top 200 before falling off. It may actually do that next week as there are quite a few new releases coming out and Al's sales are likely to dip below 4,000 for the first time. We shall have to see how it pans out but it's not looking good.

With a very slight uptick, even.

Straight Outta Lynwood falls out of the Billboard 200 after 23 weeks. Not bad at all in my opinion. It's sold significantly more than Poodle Hat and SOL should go Gold anyday now.

I'd say. That's, what, about 45% of a year? Most impressive.
