RIP Robert Goulet
With regards to another one of Al's pals, I was caught by surprise last week when I saw David Bowe in Michael Bay's
The Rock (1996). He was in one of the first scenes, playing "Dr. Ling", working in the FBI with Nicholas Cage's character. Great movie.
Sad news about Robert. I enjoyed his guest appearance on Boy Meets World. Odd appearance that was.
As for David Bowe, it was nice seeing him in The Cable Guy, as well as Freaked.
In a side note, I don't know if Patton Oswalt is considered a 'pal', but he did guest appear on The Weird Al Show. He put in a funny appearance on the show The Reaper last night as an escaped soul from down below. The devil wanted him back.

I'm genuinely bummed about Robert Goulet's passing. He really was a wonderful singer, although the musical generation that would have really appreciated his voice was on the way out by the time he came on the scene. He had interstitial pulmonary fibrosis [basically, for some unknown reason one's lung tissue starts scarring over quickly and can't function for oxygen exchange anymore] and was awaiting a lung transplant at Cedars-Sinai Hospital when he died-a particularly unfair way for a singer to be struck down.
I loved it that he was so willing to poke fun at his own Vegas image and his cameo in the YDLMA video still makes me fall on the floor with my sides splitting from laughing. May he be honored in Heaven's 'souls with a really good sense of humor' hall of fame.
Cheers, Diva
RIP Bob

Dave's just released the newest episode of Retarded Animal Babies. It was okay I thought. Had a couple funny moments, but was pretty dull as a whole.

I see David pop up a lot on various tv shows and in small parts in movies. I saw him yesterday on a rerun of Yes, Dear, and he was pretty funny on it.

Just curious here, but is that David Bowe on one of the Lending Tree commericals? They rotate a few, and I swear it's him on one of them.

I believe it is David in the commercial. There's a thread about it on another site, but I myself haven't seen it.

I just read on MSNBC.com that Alex Trebek, host of "Jeopardy" and a guest on TWAS, had a minor heart attack. The good news is he's "resting comfortably" and will be able to go back to work soon.

Shame about Alex. Hopefully he gets better soon.
I bought a video game recently and turns out Beau Weaver, who has done some voiceover work with Al is the voice actor for one of the characters. He plays Tiger Shark in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance.
