So, is there such thing as a "Gold Download?" and does the RIAA present the artist with it? >:)

Actually, due to downloads, there seems to be new criteria for a single going Gold, Platinum, etc.
Again according to "Billboard," a song can go Gold after only 100,000 paid downloads and Platinum after 200,000 downloads.

Then wouldn't White and Nerdy be 3x Platinum now?
Why hasn't there been any announcement?

Al said in his last blog he's still waiting to hear from the label/RIAA. But Al seems to not even know how it works

SOL's pretty close to going gold. I would imagine the tour will probably push the sales enough for it to go gold. As W&N, I wonder when Al will hear more about the certification.

The drops the last few weeks have been depressing but yeah, pretty much anything new (single, tour) will push it past gold in no time
So keep your heads up everyone!

Awesome!

It's still on the Billboard charts, and with the pre-tour interviews and tour itself, it's just a waiting game now.
