I think that the Bonnie Rose video, like the one for Pancreas just didn't quite live up to expectation is all it is..

Why would that be? I understand nobody uses or produces VHS anymore, but couldn't he just find some blank ones at his house and go from there? I think a VHS release would be golden. Everyone would be talking about it. Weird Al's career would be officially revitalized. However expensive the release may be, it would pay off quite well.TMBJon wrote:It would actually be far more expensive to release the video on VHS than it would to release it digitally.
It costs zero cents to upload a video to YouTube. You are talking about mass producing thousands of VHS tapes, far more than Al has "sitting around his house." Not to mention all of the legal problems associated with simply making dubs onto commercially available VHS tapes of a for-profit video release. To produce that many video tapes legally and at the number of copies necessary, he would have to spend tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars. A total money drain. Compared to zero cents to upload to YouTube.JCM wrote:Why would that be? I understand nobody uses or produces VHS anymore, but couldn't he just find some blank ones at his house and go from there? So, you're hoping that Bill Plympton does the video for this?JCM wrote:Well, he should at least make the video exceptionally low quality.
More like whoever made that "Pancreas" video...Bruce the Duck wrote:So, you're hoping that Bill Plympton does the video for this?JCM wrote:Well, he should at least make the video exceptionally low quality.
