I'd love to go (and I have professional video production equipment and a very nice camera), but getting there from Pa with 0 dollars may be a tad bit difficult, haha. Darn.

ALifornia perhaps?

I really love Dave's idea about art contests and also would love some other art-type stuff. I would be willing to have a "make it and take it" corner with some projects put together that people can sit and do on the spot. There is an art store in Santa Ana where I take a lot of classes, the ARTbar, that puts together things like that and they might be able to give me some pointers on how to set up something like this.

At a GalCon we had in 2001 we did a car caravan pilgrimage of the sacred places of Al-dom: Lynwood High School, the site of KMET, the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, the track at Santa Monica College where the RWS cover was photographed, Capitol Records, the corner of Pico and Sepulveda, etc. The coordination for this as a formal activity would preclude my doing a make it and take it table, but if someone would like to take on an activity like this we're certainly in the right locale; it's also an option for an informal activity pre- or post- gathering.

In any case, count me in for the whole shebang.
