Al's still listed on the website as performer. This new commercial probably means he's closing the show.

If so, let's hope VH1 is better at managing time when it comes to award shows than ABC was. Otherwise Al will be singing the closing credits.

I would think they'll be more careful about managing their time if Al really does close the show. After all, they've been touting him as their "special guest". It would be very good to make a special guest sing over the credits.
