This could probably be discussed in the "weirdal.com chit-chat" topic because of the new gallery pics, but with Suzanne videotaping the recording session, I wonder if this means that Album 12 is being penciled in to be a Dualdisc (CD/DVD combo) like "Songs for Silverman" was?
Yeah, I know it really has nothing to do with this thread about new songs, but it was sorta about the recording session, so go figure.

P. S. I also note that Stan is still hanging around AMWA.

He even mentions he read a post here.
Hopefully it was that post in which he was called a "douchebag."

If what Suzanne was filming was for being released as part of the album, I'm gonna guess it's gonna be on an enhanced part of the CD, like the home movies on Poodle Hat.
Just a guess... (though a seperate DVD would be very cool!)
But I'm thinking that she's filming it for the archives. I read an Alcon review, and it said that footage of the Running With Scissors photo shoot was shown, and that's never been released. So just becasue something is getting filmed doesnt mean it'll get released. My guess is it's archival footage.

Since dual discs are becoming more popular, I'd say it's likely Suzanne is shooting footage for public consumption.
Al knows his fans would be very receptive and appreciative

Now if we can only get Jon Stewart to call him that.....

Stan is banned for life. There's no way he can post here.

Wait, he tried to sign up/post on WOWAY? (I wasn't around here then, but I read the story)

Yes, but that happened a long time ago, and is old news, and not gonna happen again. But enough about the troll. Let's talk about Al's new album instead!!

Just a note that Al and the band
started recording them. It doesn't mean that any of the songs have been completed just yet.

Well, just in case I wasn't clear with my description earlier, Dualdiscs are these new dual-sided hybrid discs. The normal CD information is on one side, while the other side is a DVD of bonus material (no doubt items that would previously have been part of an "enhanced CD" file). So there would be no separate DVD...it would just be on the other side of the disc.
I don't know what kind of support the Dualdisc format has been receiving, but a number of labels seem to be releasing their basic mainstream titles in that format as opposed to just normal compact disc. So, should the trend continue, by next year or whenever it wouldn't be too farfetched to think Album 12 would be a Dualdisc with bonus material such as studio footage.
But, as you said, that's assuming for a second that whatever Suzanne was taping was for public release.

Well in the one pic she is holding he camera off to the side while talking to Al she has headphones around her neck. They look like the kind you would connect to a camera to make sure the audio levels are ok. Unless Al is that obsessed with having everything perfect even if its for himself, there has to be some other reason for it.
