Got an e-mail from Jim Stoddard, the guy who is producing this show. He says:
"A little about our show...VH1 is producing a documentary-style series called "Totally Obsessed," which will feature real people with various passions, hobbies, interests, collections, and obsessions.
In order for us to learn more about you and your love for Weird Al, we would like for you to create a 5-10 minute video on DV or VHS that we can submit to our Executive Producers for review. We want you to have fun with it!
If you would like to participate in the submission process, please contact me again to hear more about the creation of your tape, as well as how you can send your tape to me for free. Yes, we will pay for the shipping!
Feel free to contact me by phone at (310) 752-8405 or email at [email protected] if you have ANY questions. "
I know a girl who tried to be on an MTV special about how music saved her life (this was about 1999 or so). The producer sent a camera crew and they taped her sitting at the reflecting pool in front of the Capitol. She didn't make it on the show, but at least the video was professionally produced.

I'm now wondering which other "topics" they're looking for.
