A couple of weeks ago, I would have put Generic Blues on this list. But the more I listen to it, the better I like it. That seems to be true of most of his songs that I don't like as well as the others.

Except for Phony Calls. Bleh. Not his best effort.

And, this is the big 500 for me!

I wonder what I did with my time (and money) before I became a Rabid Wolverine? Was there life before Al? I can't remember...

Happy Birthday Al. I said it before, but golly, it only comes once a year!

My least favorite has got to be Alimony. And I also get bored with The Truck Drivin' Song. Other than that I love the rest.
The name is John, but you can call me JD! ^~^

i dont like the achy breaky song too much. i love weird al and i love all of his stuff. the song is still funny but i just cant stand country music. it makes my ears bleed. that's not al's fault though, billy ray cyrus is the one who made it sound horrible.

Keeping in mind there is a difference between "worst" and "least favorite"...

My least favorite songs are:

Waffle King

Fat (it's gotten way too overdone)

Eat it (ditto)

Germs

I Was only Kidding

Girls Just Wanna Have Lunch

I couldn't even begin to speculate on what his "worst" song is, since it is really all a matter of taste. I think GJWHL might be, since it is rather obvious it he didn't have much input into it.

I actually like the WAY Show *song* more than I liked the show. The video that went along with it was hilarious. The show was too preachy, and it was pretty obvious he didn't have a lot of control over the content.

I can't believe no one said King of Suede yet! That by far is the most boring song to me.

For "King of Suede" to really be funny, you have to know "King of Pain." To have Sting's overreaching and pretentious line "Is my soul up there?" turned into the prosaic "Is my size up there?" is one of Al's nicest touches, I think.

You're probably right. It always helps to know the original song being parodied.

Though some songs are better than others I actually like just about every Al song I've heard. They are all wonderful! :D

Having said that, though, there is only one song of Al's that I truly dislike - Syndicated Inc. :sleepy: The original (Misery) is actually much better than Al's version. I love the music, but Al's parody is very weak. I can't find any jokes! It's little more than a list of syndicated tv shows. The only thing that makes this song listenable (not a word, I know) is the accordian solo.

Every other song Al has written is excellent though!

Every other... that makes me laugh. I always think every other: XxXxXxX instead of all other but that one, when I hear/read that phrase.
