I seem to have most things memorized fairly well. Although I envy those of you who have memorized the Yoda chant. I know snippets but cannot perform it.
Question: Did y'all hear the chant at this year's tour? I think it's new, only been to one other tour... Anyway, in the middle they sing like this little song that sounds Asian or Hawaiian or something. And then Al says 'Everybody!" (which is practically impossible, and therefore funny). Is it an actual song or made up or what?
Anyway, I also found it disappointing that he did not perform W&N all that well...

English doesn't just borrow from other languages, it mugs them on the street and checks their pockets for loose grammar.

Yes, the chant is new and I think it's made up. Not sure.
What do you mean he didn't do W&N well?
As for the fast singing and/or memorizing songs, I have memorized almost every song he has written. The only one that holds me back is the "Hardware Store" song, the part where he says, "Ahhh, would you look at all that stuff" then starts singing, "They've got allen wrenches, gerbil feeders, toilet seats, electric heaters
Trash compactors, juice extractor, shower rods and water meters" I can't keep up with that for anything! I'm getting a little better, but not much. I imagine in a few more months of regular practice, I should have it.
I'm really great at singing W&N AND Couch Potato! I surprised myself at the show I went to this year that I was able to keep up with him on every song they sang except the Yoda Chant, as it changed from last year. Running out of breath WAS an issue for me at first, but the more I practiced, the better I have gotten at controlling my breathing so that I can go all the way through without panting like I used to

Actually, the Hawaiian part of the chant has been in there since the Poodle Hat tour. It's the Hawaiian War Chant. I don't think Jim has ever performed that song outside of during Yoda. The part near the end is new, and it's African. I'll just say it's from a song by Steve Jay.
I thought White and Nerdy was great, especially the awesome job he did riding around on the Segway.

4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!

I'm a teacher, and my 5th graders in South Central L.A. last year (who are used to rap) got so good at WAN that they could sing it from memory without the music, at tempo. In fact, our class did Trash Day as our class song for graduation
(only because they had actually burned out on WAN somehow) I started them singing along with the lyrics on paper, which I always find helps with the tripping over my tongue problem... the 'teaching' reason was that their reading fluency was pretty low. Weird Al improved that and their vocabulary no end.
Hardware Store, however, is pretty well out of my perception as possible without breaking it up. He doesn't have any breath breaks, not even enough for a gasp.
