Re: Mandatory Fun Videos
I cant find it, but theres a possibility that they were inside a place that had windows and someone saw it and they all stopped what they were doing.

Right - that's what I thought too. The pictures were taken from the window. I interpreted the post as that the bike race didn't so much "interrupt" the shoot, but rather just "distracted" everyone from it.minnick27 wrote:I cant find it, but theres a possibility that they were inside a place that had windows and someone saw it and they all stopped what they were doing.

Re: Mandatory Fun Videos
Well the fact that the bicycle picture was an overhead shot, kind of lends to the theory that they were probably in a building.
Also I'm dissapointed none of you tried to take to the challenge of trying to figure out what building Al would have been in based on comparing that image to Google Streetview.

Yes, the pictures were taken from inside the building. That doesn't mean the entire shoot (or any of it really) was done in there. They could have been shooting in the street and told they needed to move so the race could come through. So they moved inside a building and took pictures with the crew and of the race while they waited to resume shooting.Marko_The_Odd wrote:Well the fact that the bicycle picture was an overhead shot, kind of lends to the theory that they were probably in a building.
To me this is more logical than shooting an entirely indoor video where the windows would have been blocked off to maintain proper lighting, yet someone still notices the race, announces it to everyone (which is kind of unprofessional), they all stop, and Al somehow still has time to take a picture of it as it goes by (according to their FB page, the race had just a few hundred participants.)
But hey, maybe I'm wrong. We'll see soon enough.

Based on the pictures we saw from that lighting guy, there is no way of telling if the video is shot inside or outside. If the video was actually shot on the streets, as a direct parody of the Happy video, they would still need a home base of operations indoors somewhere nearby. That's where the crafty would be set up as well as production, wardrobe, camera, etc.

I have a feeling TrueScribe will be doing a video for Word Crimes.

That would be a good idea, since the lyrics are so hard to catch the first time.Insomnia wrote:I have a feeling TrueScribe will be doing a video for Word Crimes.

My initial thought was "Mission Statement" because of the connection between the concept & whiteboards, but I'd say it's definitely one of these two. It would make a lot of sense for "Word Crimes" too.Insomnia wrote:I have a feeling TrueScribe will be doing a video for Word Crimes.

Re: Mandatory Fun Videos
It kind of makes more sense for "Word Crimes," since the song is written as a "lesson", which is one of the things TrueScribe does. Plus, I can't really picture what they'd do for "Mission Statement." They don't have that much to work with in terms of visuals.
