Wow - and the funny thing is, is that when I posted the picture...I didn't think much of it. It was just like basic Al knowledge to me!
parody based on Pogs
Now I'd want to hear that!

I'm really hoping for Viva la Vida. So far the only Coldplay Al's ever done is the bit from Speed of Sound in Polkarama. There was a suggestion on a blog somewhere for something involving Windows Vista, which would be good.

Mad Genius here, long time no post...
Anyhow, as to album speculations...
With the new single, "Whatever You Like", out, I'm also speculating a Viva La Vida Parody, however, with the recent release of Fall Out Boy's cover of Beat It, I'd like to see Al make that his 25th Anniversary version of Eat It as I think it'd be a suitable target for such a project.
Getting back to the Viva la Vida Parody... If he does parody this one, I'd like to see him do a fusion between Clocks and Viva La Vida, (since Clocks is a Coldplay Hit, much like Viva la Vida) similar to what he did with Under the Bridge and Give It Away for Bedrock Anthem, since it's the only parody fusion he's ever done to date, and if not, a full parody of Viva La Vida would be better than none at all. However, a Viva la Vida parody sounds possible. After all, we had Basket Case in the Alternative Polka, and ten years later, we were treated to Canadian Idiot, both songs performed by Green Day, so it's more than likely we'll see a parody of Viva la Vida since Speed of Sound was featured in the recent Polka medley.

(The Plumbing Song...

)
I think it's doubtful Al would ever "update" a song. In concert, Al did a new verse for Headline News, but I don't think he would "update" it, "Headline News 2009". It would be great if he did... but it doesn't sound like Al.
Then again, I said "It doesn't sound like Al" for T.I's Whatever You Like, stating that "It wouldn't make a good Al parody", and see how wrong I was proven?

Also, he did an updated version of "Like a Surgeon" in concert for several years after Madonna did her "Truth or Dare" video. I could definitely see Al doing the Fall Out Boy version of "Eat It" in concert. I'd be a great way to change things up - maybe even use "Yoda" as the new finale to the medley instead of "Eat It."

Okay, I just went and listened to the sample of "Beat It" by the Fall Out Boys on iTunes. I take back what I said before. If Al does this version, I will get up and walk out of the concert.

They have a video, too. It's not that bad, but, I can see why you might not like it.
I suggest you don't watch the video.

I like Viva La Vida, but I would probably prefer a "Violet Hill" parody.
Don't know how that'd work, but I'm sure Al could work it out.

If Al plays Eat It outside the medley period, I'm walking out of the concert
Of course, I'd have to
be at a concert first
