Anyone know if Al will be on Dr. Demento's Basement Tapes #16? I haven't heard anything at all about the 2008 membership package.

Yeah... I was almost worried there wasn't gonna be one of those CDs this year.
But I was talking to Lemon Demon and he said he thinks he remembers Dr. D asking him for permission to include Knife Fight, so I think we're okay...
They might be running out of rarities by this point, heh... I dunno what they'll include this time.

Orgy On My Own or Crazy Cow Therapist haven't been released on Basement Tapes....

Someday I will personally make sure that Orgy on My Own at least gets leaked.

I just thought of something...
Most of Al's rarities have been played on Dr. Demento at one point or another. He's even played some in recent years (like "Baby Likes Burping"). So this leads me to an idea...
Did anyone think to just call up Dr. Demento and request a song? I mean, I'm not sure he'd just plop something uber-rare like "Orgy On My Own" on the radio, but something that's been played before (like the unbootlegged "Cruisin' Down Higuera") might be fair play.

I don't know how practical listening to Dr. D is for anyone... last I checked, no stations were streaming him online, and I don't know if any stations still carry his show.

I know in Chicago, 97.9 The Loop plays Dr. D every Sunday night at 11.

That's a good idea if you can listen to Dr. Demento. I can't really find any sites that stream it.

you can't really call him, I think the only live broadcasted shows are in CA, and all the ones around IL and NY come on CDs and a list of songs, and tons of stations don't have Dr. Demento anymore because it has gotten to expensive.

I belive the Dr. Demento show is pre-recorded about two weeks ahead of time.
It is sad that the show has gotten so scarce online.
