I'm going to assume there's meant to be a "don't" in there.

What's wrong with a HP song? He did Star Wars and he did Spiderman. I'm sure if he wanted to Al could find the right song and get it done right. I wouldn't mind.

twice! I definitely think HP is a possibility and personally I think it would be really cool. One reason he might not is that Steve Goodie already has a whole album of HP related parodies.

Uh, no. Definitely there won't be an HP parody. HP is not a dead issue yet, but doing a funny song about that always was very bad taste. X*

The thing is, if Al were going to do a Harry Potter parody, he should have done it already. With all the books out now, it just doesn't seem like there's the kind of hype for it that there used to be. I know there are still movies coming out, and those will be big, but I still think it's really too late for an HP parody/original.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

I wouldn't mind seeing another Offspring parody.

And besides, HP in fact does belong more to British culture, and I noticed that Al tries to do things and artists that are mostly American...

I agree that it's way too late for a Harry Potter song. And besides, I'm not even sure that Al's a fan of the series. I don't think he's ever referenced it anywhere. I think he likes to stick to things that interest him.

I don't think WHERE an artist or in this case the author and setting of a story is anything that Al takes into consideration when he writes his song. I think what matters is what's POPULAR in American culture. Harry Potter may be set in Britain and written by a British person, but it's hugely popular in America, so it's definitely fair game for Al.

But like BS said, it's a bit too late. And like I said, I don't know that Al has any interest in Harry Potter, anyway.
