I am assuming that over the period of the next 7 or 8 months, he will be recording and releasing 4 more new parodies on iTunes (or through other outlets such as that...) My guess is also that since his originals never get as much airplay or as popular, he probably won't release them exclusively on iTunes (also SO much more work goes into them!!!) He is probably going to be recording those within the next 8 or 9 months, and then when they are all done, he will take all of the parodies he's released (and probably recording a polka too) and release an album with all the parodies from the past year and the originals that hadn't been heard yet...Sounds feasible I think?

Sounds like it'd happen that way. They seem to hit around the end of summer/beginning of fall lately.
Half the time, I'm a bigger fan of the originals anyway.

I hate to say it, but I just can't see Al doing the same thing with his originals on iTunes...I personally love them, but even he has said before that it is usually the parodies that sell the CDs. Plus seeing how much work goes into the originals, he will need more time for them anyways.

I have no doubt we'll see at least one Original release on iTunes.

well it'd be just awesome if he does release a new original song and it ends up being as big a hit as White&Nerdy

not too sure if it is too realistic, but it would definitely be cool!

It's not out of the realm of possibility (Though certainly not as big as W&N)
One benefit of this release format. Everything he releases through this strategy, parody or original, will get the initial "New Al!" buzz.
It doesn't necessarily mean the originals (If any) will be hits, but they'll get more attention than usual.

Maybe Al's saving up the first track on his new Album for a really big parody. I don't know, maybe he has something else in mind. I can't wait for the polka! I think I'm a polka freak
