Anyone else wish Al kept the English-speaking Hispanic mail carrier who Al never understands? I think that character would have been hilarious! Yeah, it's a little racist, but Al could pull it off without seeming too harsh I think.

Update for Al Canadian fans:
I have done a pretty thorough search of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, a major city, and have confirmed, there is no Weird Al Show to be seen anywhere. Amazon.ca claims it comes out on the 26th, with SOL, and someone mentioned CD Plus said that as well. I checked 2 CD Plus's, A & B Sound, HMV, Music World, and there was nothing, Your best luck for you very eager Canadians, is to order off of amazon.com, because I figured it pretty well comes out to the same price anyway once the Canadian site allows it to be shipped, maybe even a tiny bit cheaper. So Why not order from there, and get it before it is actually released here.

Well, I didn't mention this, but I went out to Bolingbrook yesterday and finally got a copy. Having set my expectations so low because of the reviews and the man himself, I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't half as bad as I expected and it did a good job of using the medium of "dumb-down-things-for-the-children" programming. So yeah. And I now know exactly what the donut shop in Albuquerque will look like. Oddly, never having seen the donut shop in Fatman, I already have conceptual sketches of a donut shot with the same name and a similar logo. Odd.

it took me forever to find the weird al show. about a month before it came out i went around to different site to see about prices and i saw that wal mart was the cheapest so i planned on going there. The day it came out i went to wal mart and they said that hadnt recieved it yet and then the next day i went outagain to a diffetent walmary the didnt have it then i went to a few mall stores and they didnt have it. I was beinning to lose hope my mom told me that amybe i was just tricked and it wasnt out buti knew it wasnt true so then saturday morning i decided to call around i called a bunch of walmart, target, meijer, circiuit city and best buy any store that i lived fairly close to and i knew my mom would be able to take me to. Most of the places didnt have it, a few were out, some more never recieved ship ment then finally i called best buy and they had it and the next day i went out and bought it. i was so excited. Right when i got home i started to watch it. I only watched some of the first disc because i got home a little late and i thought i had to wake up early the next morning even though i didnt. Then i fifnished it the next day and loved it. then the same day i watched it with cmmentary and i loved it even more. The guys sounded like they had so much fun. it partly could have been cuz they were there in the middle of the night but it was still really funny
But on the third disk it messes up a little bit... when i watching the competition episond with commentary the audio and whe picture isnt together the sound is like 5 seconds early wich drives me crazy when i'm watching then also in the same episode it looksd like it messes up a little bit when i changes from the guy al is competeing against to something else. I' not sure if i weant to exchange it or not cuz i got the last one best buy had. But any ways i loved it all but the special features weent that great. the only thing that intrested me was the pictures and those werent that great in my opinion
p.s i was also pleasantly sprised cuz i was beginning to think that it all was going to be really dumb cuz of the stuff i read on the internet but as AL said on the commentary you had to lower your expectations to really enjoy it

Weirdojace,
I hadn't thought of that possiblity. If this is indeed true, than Shout Factory should have included a disclaimer somewhere on the package letting us know of the sound problem. I made 3 trips down to Best Buy to exchange my DVD set. That took a lot of my personal time and it was frustrating. I'm going to send Shout Factory a complaint letter. Sorry guys, but this is how I feel. I'm bummed out.

Guys, it seems that the "Competition" episode has the audio drops on everyone's copy (from disc #3). I've emailed "Shout Factory" about these defects and mentioned that I've had to exchange my copy at my local "Best Buy" multiple times until I reached the conclusion this was a problem that either occurred during the production of these discs or it was an already existing defect from the original master tapes. Either way, I have urged them to do something about this. I have not heard back from them yet incidentally. They need to fix the problem and release a new batch of DVDs or if the problem can't be fixed, to include some kind of statement on future releases of these DVDs. I urge everyone to contact Shout Factory management (by phone, letter or email) and report the problem to them and insist they do something about it. The more complaints they get, the more they will be forced to do something. They need to know how frustrating it is for those who thought they bought a defected DVD and went through the hassle and time to exchange it only to discover the problem is not with their DVD but with the mass production.

Hey everyone. Wow, haven't been around here in a long time. Anyway, I recently got the set from FYE, unfortunately, I saw on their site, at the time, it came out to be $15 after a mail-in rebate, so I hoping that that offer was in-store too. It wasn't.
Anywho, I've been busy, and just got up to The Competition, and noticed the audio problems, so, naturaly, I remembered this site and came to check it out. I understand that's apparently a normal thing. But, is anyone having problems with the video on this episode? The video gets glitchy every now and then, actually, just about right after the audio problems start. So, anyone else having a problem with the video too?

Is that the one with Radish? The Radish bit had lines bleeped (silenced) out, which Al mentioned on the commentary. I thought it was skipping but apparently it was part of the show.

Yeah, the audio problems are there, but the video gets glitchy in some parts. Once I finish watching Al Gets Robbed, I'll try it on my pc and see if it's still not working.

while i was watching i saw something that they probably didnt catch or didnt have time to fix when they were shooting... on the holiday episode where all al's friends are running in trampling Al you can see the mat he fell on in the background it sticks out plain as day if you're paying attention.
I had a glitch in copetition too.(sorry i dont know if i already said that)
