I finally got to listen to it, after fighting with MediaPlayer, and then decided to use RealPlayer and it liked me there.
That is a very nice interview!

QUOTE I really didn't notice any difference in Al's voice, but that's understandable as I am partially tone deaf.
Clearly, you are NOT an Al-Gal. I have listened to this several times. I love how relaxed and candid Al is. I also love the insight into the song writing process.

I loved the interview. NPR seems to have the best around.
I think I know what scotti means by "deeper" voice. In the BTM episode, Al was doing more joking around in that one, and so you heard his usual higher-pitched voice. Al seemed a tad more serious and calmer, like he wasn't putting on an act (not that he was in BTM!), and therefore, he sounded more down-to-earth.
But even though it was a tad more serious than BTM, he and the interviewer were still in great spirits, and both sounded very happy.

I have listen to it at least four or five times and I enjoy it more each time. Your right Scottidog he is relaxed in this interview which makes more fun to listen to. I like the way the interviewer was having fun it made it less serious.

Wasn't that a fun interview? Sorry I wasn't FAST ENOUGH..and El beat me to the draw (NO SURPRISE!! We're talking awesome Al fan computer people such as yourselves against measly SG!)..ohhh back to the Drool Boards..and I think it deserves a second listen now...
See? I noticed his voice was deeper too! I didn't know what the heck this board was about before or I am sure I would have caught it back when it was "hip"..
TOLD YA I'm a loser!
But hey, I tried to be cool!

A second listen? Try a twenty seventh listen. I just love that man's voice. And his laugh is to die for.

And his laugh is beautiful.
I think that's why I don't tire of listening to this interview. I don't know how long it'll be up, but I hope to listen to it everyday until I can't anymore.

Well put, Scotti...
Well, I just found the interview today...but it's on my favorites list....
AL is on my list...
(Wow what a mushy post!)
I was just saying how much I love Al's voice. I think I could listen to him talk for hours and hours and hours and never get tired of it. Ever....
