Over here, the fast food places just give you a handful of napkins with the tray and that's it. Of course you can ask for more, but, you know, you have to go all the way back to the attendants and ask. Same with the straws and the condiments.

And I don't think asking for a banner at the iTunes store is overreacting. I only found out there's an exclusive Ben Folds EP on iTunes from a banner at the very store. So they're definitely trying to get people to buy those.

Comedy will never get the respect of "regular" music so the fact that Al generally does well is pretty good. For an online exclusive(and comedy at that), WYL has done pretty well.

Aw, I'm disappointed, too. I think the iTunes screw-up might have made the difference between getting top 100 or not.

Well, we'll just have to get Al's reaction after he weighs all the benefits and potential drawbacks of this posting method. He's the one with the most to lose.

I don't think it's overreacting to blame iTunes for the quick rise and fall of the song. It's definitely on them.

But I will say this has been far from a failure, and since the song will be on the album, there'll at least be a second life (Though hopefully, there'll be more lives for it before then)

I think there's too many high expectations due to W&N. It's success spoiled us as a fanbase.

iTunes did advertise it. It was on the main page for a week.

Yeah, but they didn't have a banner saying, "Buy Weird Al Yankovic's new single!", they just had a little icon on the new releases box.

They should have had a banner. They did not.
