World of Weird Al Yankovic

Whitney, yours does seem defective. I have no problem selecting episodes individually, and I've been successful when testing the discs on all 3 of my DVD players -- TV, laptop, and portable.

Also, the forward/page down works if you want to skip the previews.

It's not a disc defect; it might just be the player you're using. I first tried accessing the "without wheels" karaoke track on my older, pre-turn-of-the-century player and got the same result (going back to the menu), but when I played it on my newer player it worked just fine. That specific bit might be on the edge of the disc layer or something.

Well, guess what? Best Buy did not have it down here-- they're getting it in tomorrow. Of course. What else should I have expected?

Buuut, the good news is that my dad might take me in the morning tomorrow to get it. So I guess we'll find out. As for me? After this week, I'm half-expecting a horrible vampire squid creature to burst from the side of the road and devour our car on the way there.

(Sorry if this sounds needlessly snippy... I'm not in the greatest of moods due to other, non-Al related reasons right now, and this was kind of the straw that broke the camel's back.)

My dad said the dvd came in the mail, I'll be watching it tonight.

Tomorrow before you go call that Best Buy and see if it's actually there, and if so ask them to hold it for you (if they put up a fight, say something like "The person I spoke to there at the store last night said you guys would do this so I don't have to waste another trip back and forth").

In fact, I don't want anyone to burn extra gas going on wild goose chases, so please if you haven't found a copy yet, call the stores around you first to see who has it in.

Try a Froogle search for TWAS in Canada. You get nothing! This is crazy!

Done with the first disc. I don't like how the commentary on the storyboards cuts off in the middle of the guy talking. I wanted to hear the rest of what he had to say.

THE DVDDDD. Turns out, my dad thought he wasn't gonna get it, and randomly changed his mind and kept it secret as a surprise! I so totally hate/love that man right now. XD!

So I know what I'll be stayin' up late watching tonight! (But first? He's taking us out to Chinese food. Ohohoho, this has been a good day.)

Well, I'm glad you finally got the DVD, but why didn't you just go out and purchase it yourself?
