Hmm. Al's song is no longer on iTunes top 100 chart. Do we have a release date for the other music-selling sites? Is it next Tuesday?
I'm still a bit ticked at the lack of promotion overall.

Yeah, it seems that if Al gives iTunes an exclusive, they ought to do SOMETHING to return the favor.

Particularly since they screwed up the release so totally

Ok, what was wrong with that statement, Stephen? They did mess up. and the single is not getting any promotion at all from itunes. They do owe Al something.
As far as Ludo's and uwvark's interpretation of that napkin line, y'all are sick! Napkins are supposed to be for your face, and that is what I initially thought, and still do.

I'm rolling my eyes at this topic.
I think you guys are over reacting. So there as a small delay. Big deal. We have the song. We listened to the song. We enjoyed the song. We thanked Al.
I think it's kind of obsessive thinking iTunes OWES Al for some reason.
I'm not going to worry about anything until Al says something, or releases the next song.

Well, this is kind of disappointing. WYL debuts at #104. Just missed the chart. Now if iTunes had put up an ad or something on their site...

When your poor you find other uses for things.

Yes, we did get the song, and yes, I like the song, but had itunes done more to promote the song, so more people would know about it, it probably would be doing better on the charts. I don't think it's obssessive at all to think itunes should have done more. The fact that it is at 104 on the charts now is disappointing. I'd like to think it would have charted higher if there had been more promotion.
uwvark, now you're stepping over the line. The character in the song grabbed a bunch of napkins from a restaurant. It's obvious they were the type you use to wipe your face. Let's move on...

I'm sure Al's not complaining. I don't think he was really expecting the first song direct-to-iTunes would be a perfect success. I'm sure Al is plenty happy with how it worked.
And considering it was an iTunes exclusive, I think it's great the song was able to compete so well with songs that weren't iTunes exclusives.
Anyway.. about napkins and stuff... I find it funny how we think of it as free normally, but thinking about it from the store's perception, they have to keep that stuff stocked. And when people take a bunch of stuff, it makes it difficult on the employees to have to keep track, and refill the napkins. (It's not hard to do, but it's not fun.)
And why is it that when I get a lunch break, they make me get a small cup. I can't get a medium cup? Geeze. I drink a lot, so I need that medium.
