My mom said that she found the video to be sexist. Then I told her a woman animated the girls, and she felt better about it. It's weird how that stuff happens. Something seems really offensive, then you find out someone from the group being offended made the offensive thing, and you feel better about it. It bugs me.

My friend Jake saw the video and he found it hilarious because of some of the randomness in it. He cracked up everytime one of the girls was devoured.

I wouldn't consider the video sexist, it's just the animation style there that might give the implication because some people don't like women drawn like that, but eh.

drawn like what, a cartoon? <_<

I don't see how people could find it offensive.

I think the video is very funny. I'm certainly not offended, but I can see why some parents might be. I think the sexy parts make it funny. It was a shrewd choice to make the protagonist a cat so the sexy parts would seem funny not perverted.

That's called a "double-standard."

I think the girls are animated in a humorous and fairly flattering way...well, considering they ARE cartoons...they're cute, but not perfect, and I really think their portrayal adds a lot to the video...it's overall just funny, and while I was worried from the bath scene at the beginning, I was watching Ren&Stimpy as a 7 year old...so it's pretty harmless..:)

It's anything BUT a sexist video (or song). The SINGER of the song (whether you think of him as "Al" or the cat) is definitely being sexist, but then, he's also being made to look ridiculous. What's not to like about that?
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

A little off topic, but...

Y'know that original picture we saw of Al and Katie Rice? Did we ever figure out what scene Katie was showing him?

BRUCE:
Yeah, I noticed that they all start with "J", too. The character Al is singing as apparently is such a perfectionist that he *also* only considers dating girls whose name begins with that letter.

I love it. :)

I had been trying to figure that out since I first saw CBNC. I couldn't really tell, but the scenes I thought it was were either when Cigarettes (the cat) takes a bite of the habanero and he sticks out his tongue when it's burning, or when Charlise Theron (sp?) turns into a big, fat, slobbering pig. Anyone else know what it is?
