Got my copy today and watched the first three eps both without and with commentary. I've seen the shows a bunch of times already, so they were nothing new. But it's nice to watch them without having to see Steve Urkle shout "Welcome Home!" before the episode.
And it's even nicer not to have to see any lame commercials for "Wheel of Fortune 2000."
Al's commentaries are hilarious, as everyone has said. I love the way he points out all the instances where CBS restricted his creativity. It's really a riot. It wasn't funny at the time, but all these years later it certainly is. One thing that bugs me about the commentaries is that they'll start talking about something and then some segment or guest star will come on the screen and they'll change topics to talking about what's on the screen, but then they never return to what they were talking about before.
Question for those of who've watched all the way through:
At the end of "Promises, Promises," Al mentions a "Star Wars" bit that was never used and promises to come back to it later. Do they ever explain that bit in the other commentaries?
