I think Al should, one day, do a "Second Chance Polka"--using great songs he never got to use since they didn't fit in with transition, were too old to be used before, etc. Some songs that I'd love in it:

"Don't Know Why"-Norah Jones

"Ms. Jackson"-Outkast

"I Wanna Be Sedated"-Ramones

"Whip It"-Devo

"Who Are You"-The Who

"Tainted Love"-Soft Cell

"Dreams"-Fleetwood Mac

"Jack and Diane"-John Cougar

"Getting Closer"-Wings (obscure but very polkable)

"Hammer to Fall"-Queen

Talk about missed oppurtunities! How great would this have been in AWBP?

I was watching Fuse (The channel formerly known as Muchmusic and the channel formerly known as cool) and I saw a song from a couple years ago that I completly forgot about:

Bodies by Drowning Pool

Wow! I almost immediatly thought of an Al polka version. It would've been great!

Also, I think Matchbox 20's Unwell is destined for a polka...especially because of the song's Poodle Hat connections (Part of the video was filmed on the same fake subway as the PH cover)

I've said this before, but I think Outkast's "Hey yay!" would sound awesome in a polka medley. Also Beyonce's "Crazy in Love" would be great in a polka.

Beyonce's Crazy in Love would make an excellent "intro" to the polka, but I believe that's a sample, so clearances might be hard to get.

I don't know about Hey Ya, though...as big a hit as it is, I can't see anything defining in that song to make it polka worthy. That doesn't mean I wouldn't want to hear it in a polka, though!

"Hey Ya" would be great in a polka, since I can't see a parody of it being done.

Awesome idea....Al would have a lot of fun parodying that one though...

If Al parodied "Hey Yah!" and did a video, I think all the Al Gals' heads would explode from seeing 7 Al's on screen at the same time! Plus, the song doesn't lend itself well to a parody, since the chorus just goes "Hey yah!" over and over again. Not much to parody there. That's why I think it would be better in a polka (besides the fact that I LOVE that song!).
