He said something to the effect of: Of course! I didn't even think of it as a political thing at all, just... the right thing.
Unfortunately, in this country ANYTHING can be called "political" if enough people oppose it. Prop 8 has politicized love, creationists have politicized evolution, PETA has politicized cheeseburgers, and the Birthers movement has actually managed to politicize whether or not a document which actually exists ACTUALLY EXISTS. Why should it be so "political" to simply disagree with the disagreeable?
I can't believe people follow a COMEDY musician and can't tell when Al is making a joke. It looked to me to be something just to get a cheap laugh, nothing more.
Some people like to ATTACK comedians for making cheap jokes. But in this economy, we can't always afford expensive ones.

I was really glad to see the Yankovics become part of this campaign - and I think the photos are lovely. I particularly love the way they have Nina posed, so sweet!

Although like a few of you mentioned, a little heavy-handed with the photoshop...All of the campaign photos are like that, actually. Some of them to the point of not really looking like the celebrity at all. Anybody seen the Jane Lynch one? Eee..

I'm just not the biggest fan of the style. Don't get me wrong, we all know Al and Suzanne are beautiful people - but they do have, you know, lines on their faces. :F

Please do not quote me on that, but that was the essence of his own personal thoughts on the matter. He then brought up his subsequent tweet about Arizona and immigration papers. He was like I don't know if you saw the @replies to that but people were calling me a socialist!
They thought he believed laborers should own the means of production?

Nor are they going to let it down, run around and desert it, make it cry, say goodbye, tell a lie and hurt it.

If it's off-topic, then it shouldn't be here at all. It should be in the trash can.

This is the World of "Weird Al" Yankovic forum, not the World of Rick Astley Forum.

Why even point out the fact that it was off-topic? The very concept of a Rick Roll is the fact that when you click the link, it's not what you were expecting to see!
