so it looks like this will be the setlist for this tour?

1. New Polka
2. Frank's 2000" TV (alternate: You Make Me)
3. You Don't Love Me Anymore (alternate: Good Old Days)
4. Smells Like Nirvana
5. Skipper Dan
6. You're Pitiful
7. Dare To Be Stupid
8. CNR
9. Let Me Be Your Hog
10. Canadian Idiot
11. Wanna B Ur Lovr
12. Medley
13. Craigslist
14. Amish Paradise
15. White & Nerdy
16. Fat
------------------
17. We All Have Cell Phones
18. The Saga Begins
19. Yoda

overall not a bad setlist, the new polka sounds great, then Franks which is amazing, and then the rotation spot and any of those 3 songs will be amazing to hear, and then the new EP songs, which will be great to hear. The medley is extremely weak, almost exactly the same from last year, and Canadian Idiot and Your Pitiful should not be in the set. Other than that, its a pretty great set.

I kinda hoped Al would move both "You're Pitiful" and "Canadian Idiot" into the medley.

One thing though, "You Make Me" only alternates with "Frank's 2000'' TV" so far.

Prediction: There will be shows with all four possible combinations (and maybe more) over the course of this summer.

I don't see any mention of the Knights of Prosperity clip, one of the funniest Al references ever.

"Has [Weird Al] ever been robbed? Not on my watch! Has he ever been murdered? Not on my watch! Has he ever been raped? That's between him and his God"

The setlist does sound a bit thrown together (I know it HAS been 10 years, but DTBS again already?) and leftover from the SOL tour, but it still sounds like a fun show to see. SLN during the second act is a pretty interesting change. It looks like the Amish+Fat+Saga+Yoda closer is thrown in so that the diehards (well, not the DIEHARD diehards - I just know I've sat through those performances more that enough times, just like you can always tell the veteran Pearl Jam concert goers cuz they all make a run for the rest room when they start doing Even Flow) can beat traffic out of the venue. I really CAN NOT wait to see You Make Me live, and I really hope a good quality video makes its way onto youtube really soon. Since I won't see the show until September, he very well might be changing things up even more between now and then.

Note that on the Alapalooza tour, Franks got dropped from the setlist very early into the tour (I saw it in August, and it was gone by then) and replaced with Headline News. I've always wondered if that was just a time constraint, or if it was because Franks didn't work so well live. I believe Living In the Fridge was performed in full at the beginning of that tour, and then got downgraded to 1 verse in the Medley right around the same time.

I don't mind Dare to be Stupid too much. Beats some of the newer songs that could have been there that I'm not too fond of. If the setlist does get changed, I suspect CNR may make its way into the medley, since there really isn't much costume. Same could be said for Canadian Idiot I think. Maybe he could pull out Trapped in the Drive Thru (since it really seems to slow things down, even with only the 3rd verse). Same thing for Ode to a Superhero, I'm just kind of sick of hearing it. He could replace CI and CNR with either 2 new songs (assuming this tour eventually supports an album) or dig into the vault and play an older song, like I Love Rocky Road or something.

Rich, I'm with you on DTBS. Love the song live, but surprised to see it back this year after only ten years away. Maybe he is doing it this summer only and next year will replace it with another costumey style parody like he did with Dog Eat Dog.

Patrick, CNR will not go into the medley. It's an original and the medley is all parodies. Having said that I do think the medley could stand to be wholly revamped.

You know, it never dawned on me that the medley was strictly parady. Since that is the case, I could see CNR dropped entirely. It seemed to get no reaction at all (to me at least) at Atlantic City.

If we are revamping the medley, I would like to see
Eat it, AORTB, Lasagna, I Want a New Duck, Canandian Idiot, Theme to Rocky VIII, My Bologna. I just want something different than the last few tours have had, I think.

I predict that CNR will stay in the setlist so long as Al is touring behind his current album. Since that album hasn't even come out yet, I'd guess it will stay for a few years.

Sorry, Patrick, but I disagree. I am quite certain that CNR will stay in the setlist, in its entirety, for the rest of the tour.

Maybe it will stay, who knows. I can only go by what I have seen myself and crowd reaction. Given that there is no big costume expense for this song, I say it is expendable when something comes along to replace it.
