No, the idea was perfect. I'm so sad that they didn't want to accept it.

Cool idea!

I decided I'm going to indulge myself to fly to the States from Sweden to see one of his shows! (Next year, if he decides to tour...)
It will be the very first time I'm visiting USA, and will also be the first and, I guess, sadly also the only time I'll ever see him.

I'm definitely getting a front row seat, and toothpicks to keep myself from blinking!

I just cannot wait!

Just seeing him... wow... *drools* and so neat to finally get together with my brothers and sisters in the Accordionist faith, all the Al-gals and guys (yeah, I know, they male ones are called "Al-men"...) and just hang out.

Louise, I am so sorry the school dissed your idea, but I would still love to pose with Al with the new placard that gives you and Raquel a shout-out.

Well, I thought it was a wonderful idea, Louise.

I just know how special I felt when I first saw the picture of Al posing with this sign, so I know you and Raquel will feel just as special when you see that picture of him holding the placard.

Thanks for that suggestion :great:
Thanks I have my moments! :P I just wish the school thought it would be a good idea. Maybe we can still do the placard thing as a scrapebook type project to hold you over until you get to see a concert.

I'm on a fundraising idea roll right now. Besides my idea for this, I'm currently working on convincing the National D-Day Memorial folks in Bedford, VA to see about getting the Lt. Dan Band to do a benefit for them. The band features actor Gary Sinise(CSI:NY, Forrest Gump, Apollo 13) on bass and they do a lot of charity events to help various veterns' groups and memorial foundations as well as touring with the USO. I think it could be a huge money-maker for the memorial, I just hope the TPTB think so too.

That sounds so cool! I love Gary Sinise. I wish you all the best for that!

Yeah I feel a bit flummoxed about my non starter, but oh well. Tomorrow is another day!

I don't know if I will realistically ever be in a position to come to see Al Live in the USA.... (well maybe if he goes on for years and years, but theres no guarantee of that). I have my fingers crossed another live dvd might happen sometime though. I'm gonna just have to learn to deal with it I guess
