Aw, well...I'm glad that you two got to meet with Al after the show.
I know I really enjoyed my backstage experience again...the whole band was pretty much in the hallway, so once the nice promoters stayed in the room, I just talked to Jim like normal again, lol....It was nice to get to see the whole band, though...

AAACK! That donut is MOVING! No, wait, false alarm, it's a French cruller.Gotta Boogie @ Jul 5 2008, 03:17 PM wrote: Lotta donuts-coconut, strawberry, cranberry, boisenberry, gooseberry, Halleberry, French crawlers...

If he would just tell us who the powers that be ARE, we could go pester them!I also ask him about the chances of The Compleat Al coming to DVD, and he says its really out of his hands & if the "powers that be" feel the urge to release it.
Sounds like you had a wonderful evening!

"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

For those who saw the concert, there are two Al-TV clips shown that I'm wondering about. One had Al interview Paul McCartney, and in the other he interviewed Madonna. According to Wikipedia's AL-TV page, he interviewed those celebrities on two different shows. Does anybody know which shows those clips came from?
I have a feeling that the Madonna one was from his interview in the early 1990s. Al introduced her as controversial, and I'm not sure if she had any big controversies in the mid-1980s, which I believe is when her first AL-TV appearance was.
