Aw, well...I'm glad that you two got to meet with Al after the show.

I know I really enjoyed my backstage experience again...the whole band was pretty much in the hallway, so once the nice promoters stayed in the room, I just talked to Jim like normal again, lol....It was nice to get to see the whole band, though...

AAACK! That donut is MOVING! No, wait, false alarm, it's a French cruller.
:cop:

I also ask him about the chances of The Compleat Al coming to DVD, and he says its really out of his hands & if the "powers that be" feel the urge to release it.
If he would just tell us who the powers that be ARE, we could go pester them!

Sounds like you had a wonderful evening! :Y

I thought he said "poisionberry", not "boisenberry".

Thats not true. There was a guy 1 row ahead of me with a DSLR and no sort of pass or anything snapping pictures.. sooo... I felt like I should have taken out my DSLR and snapped pictures, but I didn't even bring it in with me!

I left early and headed for my hotel .. i left during Saga, sucks, but I couldn't stand being there anymore witht he way I felt.. :(

Sounds like you had agreat experience Alinite! :)

For those who saw the concert, there are two Al-TV clips shown that I'm wondering about. One had Al interview Paul McCartney, and in the other he interviewed Madonna. According to Wikipedia's AL-TV page, he interviewed those celebrities on two different shows. Does anybody know which shows those clips came from?

I have a feeling that the Madonna one was from his interview in the early 1990s. Al introduced her as controversial, and I'm not sure if she had any big controversies in the mid-1980s, which I believe is when her first AL-TV appearance was.

Very nice post, and great pics, too. I love this guy's "Where's Waldo" outfit.

Thumbs up to his parents, for wearing their best Hawaiian shirts.
Thanks for posting that link, Helen.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

He needed to get a wide shot of himself in the audience. Still, dressing up like that, and then meeting Al...I give him credit.
