Wow Adrian. Thats some awesome picture! I look forward to seeing the others.. and hopefully to meeting you in Scranton as well!Jigawatt @ Jul 11 2008, 02:37 PM wrote: Last night was awesome, as always. My memory is foggy right now (I'm operating on approximately 3.5 hours of sleep) but some quick notes:
* The infamous spinning stage of Westbury couldn't handle all those stormtroopers -- the stage stayed stationary for the entirety of TSB, which gaves us an excellent view of Jon and the backs of the stormtroopers heads. The troopers formed a wall that made it impossible to see Al, Jim, or Steve for most of the song, but they still sounded great!
* Al startled theout of some lady at the end of WBUL by shrieking about two inches from her face, and it was gloriously hilarious.
* There was indeed a M&G after the show. Al's the best -- when Anne and I approached him (with Dave and Jackie next in line behind us), he was all like "oooh, all my friends are here tonight!" And after hugging Anne, I extended my hand for a handshake, which he rejected in favor of a good ol' fashioned manly hug.Yep, Al's awesome.
I had my new camera in tow last night, and from what I've seen so far, I'm loving the results. I haven't had a chance to look at them all on an actual size monitor yet, let alone upload anything anywhere, but I'll try and share as soon as I can.
Next (and probably final) stop: Scranton, PA in just a couple of weeks!
ETA: OK, I will whet your appetite with this picture:

I interpreted that as them being able to exit easily, instead of walking around the stage afterward, so that the ramp was exactly where it was when it started.Jigawatt @ Jul 11 2008, 09:37 AM wrote: * The infamous spinning stage of Westbury couldn't handle all those stormtroopers -- the stage stayed stationary for the entirety of TSB, which gaves us an excellent view of Jon and the backs of the stormtroopers heads. He's so sweet. If you still have the cast when you go back to school (I have no clue how long your going to have that cast or when school starts.) You can be like, "I got Weird Al to sign my cast!!!! Yay!!" All the kids will be jealous. Heck, I'm jealous! Well glad you got to meet Al!blackjacket81 @ Jul 11 2008, 09:56 AM wrote: This year was better than last year! I finally got to meet him!
He signed my cast! This is how it went:
ME: Hi. I appreciate you coming here on my fourteenth birthday.
AL: Oh. Well, happy birthday.
ME: Thanks.
AL: Cast?
ME: Yes, please.
(Al is now signing my cast.)
AL: Feel better.
ME: Thanks.
THIS WAS THE GREATEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE.
