Welcome Survivors! Despite all the problems with the challenge, one survivor came through it all in record time.

You are unable to vote for weirdalisphantomoftheopera, but everyone else is eligible. All votes must be cast by 11am PST Monday, or else your vote will be counted as a vote for yourself. Send me a PM reading "Vote Challenge 8" in the subject and the full screen name of the person you want off the island in the body of the PM.
However, there is a catch! All survivors who attempted the challenge (even if they weren't able to finish) will get 1/2 Immunity! This means that any votes against them will count as half the normal amount.

I'm sorry, uwvark, your time in this game has come to an end.

You may post a goodbye message in this thread, and then you will be given a very bad haircut, as well as being forced to leave the island.

But wait! There's more! You are now the second member of the jury! You now hold the power that will eventually help decide who will be the Sole Survivor!

Until then, you will live in a nice hut on a nearby island, all alone. Everything you need to survive is there. You even have Cable TV!

Everyone else, Ill see you at the next Challenge. There's pizza waiting for you back at camp.

The earliest time for the challenge will be Saturday November 17th, at 11am PST (1pm CST). I will let everyone know well in advance if there's a schedule delay. Don't worry too much about small delays, since it will not be necessary to be here at the start of the challenge.

What? Why might there be a delay? Good question! I still need to finish making the challenge, that's why! Oh, and the fact that Super Mario Galaxy comes out this Tuesday for the Wii...

An official announcement:

Challenge 9 will be on Monday November 19, at 1pm PST. Although not required, being there at the start of the challenge is nice.

Challenge 10 is being planned for some time Saturday November 24th. It is very important to discuss the time in the chit-chat thread. The final time will be given at the Tribal Council for Challenge 9, so discussing now to get past any time problems is imperative, since Challenge 10 will be live.

Challenge 9 - Lost Catalog

Welcome to your next challenge, Survivors!

Al has a massive catalog of songs. It must be tough to keep track of all the songs he's done. Well, to make that job even tougher, some prankster has come along and hidden all of Al's songs into a giant word-search puzzle! You must help Al find his songs!

For this challenge, you will be given a wall-o-text. Yes, this is a word-search! Your goal is to find all of the song names in the puzzle. You must submit a list of all the songs you found, as well as an edited picture showing where the found songs are.

There are no numbers or symbols in the grid. Only letters. So Polkas on 45 is POLKASON and Frank's 2000" TV is FRANKSINCHTV

Songs are hidden Forwards, Backwards, Up, Down, and Diagonal.

If there's any questions about how the songs are laid out in the grid, please ask.

But wait, there's more!

The winner of Immunity has the choice of keeping the Immunity, giving it to someone else, or giving up the Immunity for a double-vote.

If you need the puzzle bigger, or you'd like the original PSD, let me know. I just noticed that photobucket reduced the size of my image from 1800x1800 to 800x800

If I made any mistakes in the puzzle, please let me know.

I just wanted to clarify:

Only studio albums are used. Headline News, and You're Pitiful are included, however Spy Hard is not.

(Small oversight on my part until it was too late)

You only need to find a song once, if it is accidentally in there multiple times (like Fat)

Unreleased songs are not used, and neither is Peter and the Wolf.

There are only 95 songs used. I forgot that I had removed really long song names from the list, like Attack of the Radioactive Hamsters from the Planet Near Mars.

Again, I do not expect anyone to find all of them, and I will not be giving a word list.

Another thing that I guess did not make it into my official Challenge start post, there will be two Immunities. One for the person with the most "points" (that's based on number correct and time) and one for the first person to submit a complete challenge.

Anyone who has already submitted an answer may continue working on it and re-submit up until the deadline, but only the newest submission will count.

The challenge is now officially over.
Please give me some time to look over all the entries (Ugh, that's going to be painful) and figure out who won. I am pretty sure I already know, but we "gots to be official-like"

As I said, there are 2 Immunities. One for the person with a "Complete Puzzle" (which since I didn't give a starting word list, isn't going to be counted against, so the person with the most correct answers will win that.) and one for the most "Points" which is the number of songs you found times the number of your placement. First person is x7, 2nd is x6, etc. Obviously 1st person has the advantage here.

I shall post the results as soon as I'm done.
