Great reviews and pics! That was sweet of Al to autograph the birthday sign for your niece, Patti! That's a 1st birthday present she'll love showing off when she gets older.

Patti, thanks for the review! That's awesome that Al wanted to save the chocolates for Nina. Nice pics, too!

Thanks for all the nice comments, everyone! It's just like Al to think of someone else before himself, especially when it's Nina. I was so flattered that he thought I bought those chocolates. hehe, I coulda sworn I saw him sniff the chocolates after I told him they were flavored. I'll get to work on the concert pics. A lot of them are on the blurry side, though. Just to warn you ahead of time.

Patti, you looked wonderful and those two pics came out great! :) (Like Al's shirt) Your chocolates looked magnificent from the photos...somewhere here.

Thanks to all for the concert reviews! :)

Thanks, Cinnamon. The photo of the chocolates is in The Big Photo topic. Al thought I bought them. So flattered! *sigh* I hope he's keeping them refrigerated so they'll be nice for him to share with Nina when he gets back home.

Sorry I'm so late in getting into this thread...kids...driving me bonkers... But, I digress.
It was good to meet so many of you, Kaffy, Nancy, Patti, and seeing Kari again after the Lansing show. Like Patti and Kari, I showed up late, but I had a good reason.

I got my tickets off of Freecycle. Another lady won them off our local radio station and then got sick, so she couldn't go. She posted them as I was getting dinner for my kids, 1-1/4 hours before the show. I called her, she still had the tickets and so I took 20 minutes to get ready, drove 30 minutes out of my way to get them and then another 40 minutes to the show. After I got there, I got parked and as I walked up to the building , I met Patti and Kari looking kinda lost. Anyway, I went up to my crappy upper tier seat and had a good time. Now if you're wondering why my wife didn't accompany me, well, we couldn't find anyone to watch the kids for us on such short notice. And she made a good point that if she had to opportunity to see the Dixie Chicks on such short notice, but I couldn't make it, she'd be out the door. So I went.

So, I thought the show was really good, but IMO, the energy didn't seem as "out there" as the Lansing show...not anything w/ band, but the audience wasn't as energetic...just my observation. I did see Al singing to Kaffy...that was quite cool.

Anyway, after the show, I hung out w/ Patti while she waited to get backstage...and Kari ran off to find a water fountain for her contacts. () So while we waited, I got the following pics of Patti in her Ren Fair outfit:

Patti looking quite chic and, um, high(?) on the experience.

And Patti getting trying to get a bit naughty w/ me (j/k)

hehe, yes, I was high on the Weird Al experience. That's it. ;) It almost makes me like that picture a little more. I love the naughty one, of course. Sexy Ren Faire geek. That's me!

Well, now I know why you were late. Much better excuse than mine. We just weren't clear on what time the concert started, but we still had fun. I think Kari and I were the only people with any energy in our whole row! I didn't care. I was bouncing and singing and having fun. Thanks for taking those pics. Now I have some with my cape, and my wild tights!

Sorry I'm a bit late in seeing these pictures, they got lost in all the other concert nonsense in this section. The costume is so awesome Patti, and I love those tights! :D
