Well, Well, Well @ Mar 8 2007, 04:07 PM wrote: Also, wasn't this just a radio thing where the people weren't even there to see Al?
They have different guests every week, and I guess they keep it fairly quiet, because I'm sure if they'd advertised that Al was going to be on the show, more people would have gone to see him at the taping....that's what suprised me, that there was only four of us there specifically to see Al.

Hey guys, I'm the famous Evan that you've been reading about in this thread :)
Good summery Em, I can barely remember it now! It just goes by so fast :D
I'm glad there weren't many people there to see him, we'd never have gotten the attention we did had there been dozens of fans around.

I missed out on meeting him at the Melbourne Poodlehat tour, so I feel my life is complete now - "A wrong righted" in Al's words :D

Awesome report Emily. Thanks for posting your experience. I can't wait to see the Spicks and Specks episode. I might able to record the show onto DVD and then duplicate copies for people who might want them!

Ooh that would be so awesome if you could do that! I know Narelle, Evan and I would love copies to remember the experience

Well, the ABC doesn't actually advertise who's on the next show. Apart from the very quick reminder that it's on next, and [whoever] is on and their website, there's pretty much no promotion for the guests.

It's a shame really, 'cause they'd get so much more ratings if they did that.
Sever your leg, please. It's the greatest day.

It's a nice pic they've got on the site, I think... and I love the new avatar, Emily! :D I take it that was from the taping?

Sure was :)

I agree with MT, they would do so much better if they advertised who was going to be at each taping. Adam Hills actually thanked us all for going because the show works much better when they have a crowd. I was surprised to hear that they have actually done shows without an audience, I thought people would be queuing to get tickets, but I guess not.
