I thought the Taylor Hicks "look" was just a little off, but I can't put my finger on why. I thought he looked more like John Kerry than Taylor Hicks.

Yeah, that's what I thought at first, too. Since I wasn't familiar with what Taylor Hicks looked like, I was wondering about the political commentary in having John Kerry sing DICYO. :P

Actually, that would have made it even funnier. And it'd make sense since Jib Jab USUALLY focuses on political humor.

Who are the people in the police line-up? I have a feeling I'm missing a lot of jokes/references, maybe because I don't watch American Idol? Anyway, the video was a lot different than I was expecting. Well (professionally) done though.

I'm gonna rank it against the animated videos on SOL. I'd put it right about in the middle, maybe #3. Better than some videos on there, not as good as others.

The guy in the red jacket on the viewers right reminded me of Jay (Levey, not Leno), but I could be wrong. They do thank Jay in the credits.

Great, great, great! I laughed a lot during this video. Loved Al's facial expressions, especially when he picks the gum out of the dumpster.

It's a bit oxymoronic to say so, but that video is a serious piece of funny!

I love Al's expressions too-- he's seriously underrated as a comic actor.

This is probably already posted elsewhere, but here's Taylor Hicks performing his song. I didn't watch AI so I didn't realize until now, but yes, Al nailed the performance again.

Oh, BTW, Well, Well, Well, you might consider watching the video for DDTS again... :lookaround:

I watched the video again, and I picked up something I didn't see before. When Al's reading the newspaper in the coffee shop, the headline inside the paper says "Stalker on the Prowl". I also laughed out loud when Al jumped into the dumpster to get Debbie's gum. As for the police lineup, I can't grasp any intended reference. I certainly don't see any relation to American Idol. Maybe it was a collection of people who worked on the video.

That DOES look a lot like Jay Levey... hmmmm. I would bet that its him alright. But I don't know who the other 3 are. I think Jay is credited in the end not for the cameo, but simply because he's Al's manager.

OMG... Hey, there's another thing hidden in the scene panning his room with all the stuff in it. It's right below the map on the wall- a blow-up doll with Debbie's face on it. ROTFLOL!

I, too, would like to be able to put this (high-quality) video on my iPod..
Anyone figured out how to crack jibjab's video storing system yet? :)
