that's what my dad does! i can't believe he got this one memorized before i did, seeing as he always forgets the words to all Al's other stuff....

I thought the song was hilarious... very contrasting and reminded me of those gag-type songs like, "Gotta Boogie."

Just read this article which Wizzerkat posted in the Rock Hall thread and looked up one of the names cited in the article - Dave Dudley. Did anyone else realize Truck Drivin' Song was meant to be a style parody of this particular artist? Listening to some of his songs on YouTube, it's abundantly clear.

Huh. Listening to Six Days on the Road, I definitely hear similarities. And checking The Ultimate Parody Guide, it seems like you're one of the first to make the connection.
