No, that's true, he wasn't too crazy. :) Actually, I remember being quite relieved that they went easy on him when they did air that episode.

But, I think the major difference is that Al was directly involved in that show and the contest prize. I can't really imagine Al being cool with someone telling him, "We're going to solicit videos from your biggest fans, and then we're going to mock them. Wanna help?"

I haven't really read over anything for this new contest, so I don't know how involved Al will be with it.

My niece's name is India. For 2 reasons, my sister's liked the name since she read Gone With The Wind in high school, and she's also visted India and really enjoyed it.

This is a toughie. What's the definition of obsessed?

I have something Al-related in every room. I collect Al shirts. I've been to 28 concerts. Gee, that took all of 5 seconds, how do I fill the other 9 mins and 55 secs?

Plus, when I tell people (co-workers, friends of friends, etc.), I always get some snarky remark like "Don't you have a life?" Well, yes, I do have a life, thank you very much. It just happens to include a big dose of Al. Do I want that reaction from the entire country?

Except for Fred and Dave and maybe a few select others, the rest of us are just normal people who like Al a lot -- we have jobs, families, bills, pets.

You'd have to jazz up the presentation somehow to make yourself stand out, make some sort of statement. I'm just guessing here.

I have a couple of (I think) great ideas, but without a professional film crew, it will just look sad. I could never pull it off on my own. It would look like a bad bad bad bad bad version of The Blair Witch Project, but without the runny nose and dying and stuff.

:) Tara Lyn

P.S. India ia a beautiful name whether you got your name from GWTW or not. I did. Yep, I'm named after the plantation.

Yes, you, Fred, and Dave are FREAKS! FREAKS I TELL YOU! :P

As for me? Job? None, unless being a student counts. Family? Just my dad. Bills? No. Pets? Does a cactus count?

Actually, a "Blair Witch" thing would be pretty funny.

(A fan is sitting inside a tent. From outside, in the distance, they hear a noise.)
Fan: (startled) What was that??
(The noise is heard again, sounding almost rhythmic. The fan opens up their tent.)
Fan: (calling out) Hello?? Who's out there?!?
(The fan tries to listen to the noise.)
Fan: That sounds like a polka...
(Sure enough, as the noise grows, it is becoming more and more apparent that it is a riff from a polka.)
Fan: (in realization) Hey! That's "Polka Your Eyes Out!"
(They run out of the tent.)
