Nah, I just don't like this song.
The lines are funny, but... i dunno...
it's right up there with the TDS from RWS...
just not good enough... not bad, but not the song i would choose to play to my non-al friends.

Um, no. I wouldn't play it for NAFs. Too hard to explain the subtle brilliance of it.

Maybe it's because I'm a younger male (only 24) or because I've heard much "worse" than this so often on the radio (try Ludacris' "What's Your Fantasy" from a few years back, for example), but I personally loved WBUL the first time I heard it. It reminds me of "Such A Groovy Guy". Who knows, Mr. Wanna B just might be the Groovy Guy.

I played it for my non Al friends and they just gave me this look and went, "Did Al just use every cheesy pick up line that has ever existed?"
A couple of them really liked it.

I am beginning to like this song...everything about it, even the music, is the cheesiest Al has ever gone yet.

I don't know how you guys aren't seeing the whole Prince idea in this song.... even how the song title is spelled implies it...
cmon, really listen to the song, and remember the lines Prince uses in his music..... how much innuendo he uses, and "subtle" lines to get a woman..
from the first time I heard this song, I loved it!!! WAY TO GO AL!!!!!
I can just picture Al in this video, dressed like Prince and trying to pick up a woman at some kind of concert-type deal..... of course Al won't do that because Prince has absolutely no sense of humor about himself to allow that... I love Prince's music, but as far as his personality??? Well............. GROW UP PRINCE!!!!

Maybe Al was writing the song to appease one of his heros. After all, Tom Lehrer did have a song called Smut.

You've seen the UHF video, haven't you? I would imagine Al's still got the Purple Suit somewhere. I think I read somewhere that Al doesn't feel he needs permission for visual gags.

Yeah, Al is known for being quite the pack-rat too, so it's probably in a box somewhere.
