A Drawn Together DVD had a "commentary on the commentary" special feature. It ended up being really cheesy and painful. I'm 100% Al would do it better, but I'd prefer not to have it.

2014 = greatest year for Al releases ever?
If they also do a Blu-Ray of Mandatory Fun videos--or better yet, a complete Ultimate Video Collection on Blu-Ray--I'm not sure my heart (or wallet) could take it.

but why don't they just release the Compleat Al on Blu-ray now oh wait so I can re-buy it on Blu-ray in 5 years or something making my dvd worthless.

The Compleat Al was shot on video (which in the 80s was standard def) whereas UHF was shot on film. There's no reason to release The Compleat Al on BluRay because it would not increase the video quality since it never existed in high definition to begin with.

I wonder if the Compleat Al will use the same master as the laserdisc or if it will be rescanned?
